Accommodation & Cost
Metlifecare Palmerston North has a range of accommodation choices that allow for completely independent living through to rest home and hospital care. This gives couples the chance to stay close should their individual needs be different.
Chalets
We have a number of charming English-style, one-bedroom chalets. Made from attractive brick and surrounded by a show of beautiful gardens, all chalets are beautifully appointed and some with a car parking space, carport or single internal access garage. The village is on flat ground so it's easy to get from your front door to all our community facilities. You live with complete independence, and remain responsible for your own household tasks and meals, while we take care of all the outdoor maintenance. If you would like more help, we offer a range of service and care packages delivered to you in your home.
Villas
The village offers 49 one- and two-bedroomed villas, which are similar to a family home. One-bedroom villas include a car parking space, car port or single internal access garage, while two-bedroom villas all have single internal access garages. Villas are all easy walking distance to the community facilities. You live completely independently and remain responsible for your own household tasks and meals, while we take care of all the outdoor maintenance. If you would like more help, we offer a range of service and care packages delivered to you in your home.
Serviced Apartments
We have 50 serviced apartments designed for people who value their independence but enjoy having easy access to additional support and carfe services. We offer studio, one- or two-bedroom apartments, all within easy walking distance to village facilities, so you can make full use of them whenever you like. Our experienced staff are close by for added security and assistance should you need it. If you would like more help, we offer a range of service and care packages delivered to you in your home.
Rest Home & Hospital
There is a 38-bed care facility including rest home and hospital, which offers 24 hour care in a safe and comfortable environment. They are close to our other accommodations, so partners can visit easily. Our trained staff care for you with dignity and respect.
Cost
Chalets start at $230,000 for an Occupation Rights Agreement, Villas at $295,000 and Serviced Apartments at $160,000. See our Fees Structure for more details.
