Metlifecare Pinesong offers several levels of care in all types of village accommodation:

- Care services in your home

- Health professionals’ visits upon request.
Our service packages are tailormade to suit your needs – we take the time to sit down and talk you through all the options available to work out what is right for you.
If you qualify for government assistance to pay for care, you can still apply for it while living at Metlifecare Pinesong.
Taking time to understand your needs means we can deliver an independent retirement lifestyle that suits you now and into the future, and there is seldom any need to move.
Household services
If you no longer wish to do household chores or laundry or make your own meals, you can obtain these services no matter what accommodation you have chosen to live in.
Care services
Should you require care services, we can provide them in whichever type of accommodation you have chosen. We have the experience to ensure that you maintain your independence for as long as possible in your own home.
Short term convalescent care
Pinesong has beautifully appointed private care suites with a modern care centre, located in the same building as the Serviced Apartments. Here we can provide palliative care, short-term convalescence, or a short period of respite, should you or your partner need it.
Our care support team will also visit you in your home as well to ensure you are fine.
Staff checks
If you are convalescing at home, or just in need of some extra reassurance, our staff will visit you each morning and evening to make sure you are feeling okay. We believe caring for you in this way brings peace of mind for you and your family.
Health professionals’ visits
At Metlifecare Pinesong you have access to a visiting GP, a monthly podiatry service, activities co-ordinator, and an occupational therapist.
Credentials
- Our village is a member of the Retirement Village Association.
- All our non-regulated care workers, such as care givers, have access to Aged Care Education training programmes, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest developments in the aged care sector.
- All our nursing staff are registered as per requirements of NZ Nursing Council to deliver the best possible service to our residents.
- Metlifecare has contracts with the local District Health Boards to provide the best care for our residents.
