Poynton Residents Take On Pinesong in Friendly Games Competition
Residents from The Poynton village in Takapuna took on West Auckland’s Pinesong village residents on Monday, when they held the first inaugural North vs West friendly games competition.
The Poynton hosted the day of fun, frivolity and friendly rivalry as the two Metlifecare villages took each other to task on the bowling green, at croquet, on the snooker table, cards and table tennis to name a few.
The North Shore residents claimed a few more victories, but participants decided not to keep official score. Instead, the village residents decided the winner on the day was the chance to socialise with residents from other villages and enjoy more of their favourite activities, now Auckland is back in alert level 1.
Katie Worthy, Village Manager – The Poynton said “It was a wonderful day of friendly competition creating new friendships and sharing interests. We loved seeing the village come alive with a buzz of activity and comaraderie.”
