Shirley says… Good Afternoon and thank you for all the kindnesses and the thoughtful acts that so many of you at Metlifecare have provided for us. It has been very heart warming and indeed helped so much in an otherwise unusual few weeks. As a matter of fact I believe it has been your input that has helped us all to cope without too much trouble—for myself anyway the time has gone quickly.
Thanking you all and our own Village establishment especially.
Wendy Fraser says…Thank you Glen for your regular updates, much appreciated. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Metlifecare and the staff here at Bayswater for going the extra mile… Everyone has bent over backwards to enable us during this unusually challenging time to adapt, meeting most of our needs in so many different ways. I can’t thank you all enough…
Erin Blackburn says…My very dear and much loved Mum lost her husband and our step Dad of 47 years, days prior to [during Cov19 lockdown]. She also lost her youngest sister to cancer very close to this time. It was a wretched month.
Mum decided it was time to change her living situation by selling her home and moving into a retirement facility closer to our family.Mum told me that Elizabeth at Bayswater was wonderful supplying her with all the information and picture links and physical plans for an apartment that could be hers.
I felt that she loved the property but was skeptical. I had also asked her to see other properties on the day, but she said no. She would see Bayswater and then if it didn’t work out she would look elsewhere.
We came into the apartment and everything changed. The apartment was everything as advertised and so much more. The quality of the finishes and the layout were fabulous. Mum and I stood in the living room looking at the beautiful view, both quite gob smacked. Wow, what a beautiful apartment. Mum was smiling and looked more at ease than I had seen in a very long time. She said quickly, this will work for me. It was a wonderful experience and a huge relief to me. I couldn’t wait to tell my sister and brother that Mum is going to be fine!
I have to say I have excitement about my future too. I am almost 60 years old and have often wondered how I might see out my golden years. I now have a clear plan. I would love a beautiful apartment like my Mum is getting.
