The village is flat with absolutely beautiful grounds, allowing easy access to the community centre and recreational facilities. Residents live securely and independently in one of our villas and we offer serviced apartments if you require additional support. If a higher level of care is needed, we have a rest home and hospital on-site. To ensure you receive the very best of care, and your individual needs are catered for, our warm and experienced staff are available 24/7.

In this care home, the accommodation supplement pricing ranges from a minimum of $11.03 to a maximum of $22.07 per day. This pricing covers additional comforts and facilities over and above the standard provision for residential care.

Credentials

Our village is a member of the Retirement Village Association.
All our non-regulated care workers, such as care givers, have access to Aged Care Education training programmes ensuring they are current in the aged care sector.
All our nursing staff are registered as per requirements of NZ Nursing Council and hold a current Practicing Certificate to deliver the best possible service to our residents.
Our Care Facilities have a Certificate of Compliance from the Ministry of Health ensuring we comply with their high standards of service.
Metlifecare has contracts with the local District Health Boards to provide the best care for our residents.

Independent villas and chalets

There’s a choice to suit your need.

Palmerston North Village has a range of accommodation choices that allow for completely independent living through to serviced apartments, rest home and hospital care. This gives couples the chance to stay close should their individual needs be different.

We have a number of charming English style, one bedroom chalets. Made from attractive brick and surrounded by a show of beautiful gardens, all chalets are beautifully appointed and some with a car parking space, carport or single internal access garage. The village also offers 49 one and two bedroom villas, which are similar to a family home. One bedroom villas include a car parking space, car port or single internal access garage, while two bedroom villas all have single internal access garages.

The village is on flat ground so it’s easy to get from your front door to all our community facilities. You live with complete independence, and remain responsible for your own household tasks and meals, while we take care of all the outdoor maintenance. If you would like more help, we offer a range of service and care packages delivered to you in your home.

If you require assisted living options we also have a choice of high quality serviced apartments – designed for people who value their independence but enjoy having easy access to additional care and support services, a rest home and a hospital on-site.
