Terms & Conditions:
These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the Come In and Win Promotion (the Promotion). By entering into the Promotion and/or applying for an Occupation Right Agreement (ORA) to enter into any Promotion, you are deemed to accept the Terms. In these Terms, Metlifecare retirement villages that are participating in this Promotion are referred to as “Metlifecare Villages”.
Promotional Period
1. The Promotion starts on 12 August 2024 and ends on 31 October 2024 (the Promotional Period).
Entry Requirements and Verification
2. The Promotion is open to individuals who:
(a). attend an in-person appointment with a Metlifecare Sales Executive at a Metlifecare Village for the first time or have not attended an appointment within the previous 12 months (a First Appointment) in respect of an independent living unit within a Metlifecare Village including Serviced Apartments but excluding Metlifecare care homes and Care Suites (a Participating Unit); and
(b). are New Zealand citizens and permanent residents aged 70 years and older as at the time of attending the First Appointment (an Eligible Entrant).
3. All entries and attempted prize redemptions of persons who do not meet the above criteria will be deemed invalid. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion is not open to individuals who:
(a). Are existing residents in a Metlifecare Village;
(b). Have attended an appointment at a Metlifecare Village within the previous 12 months;
(c). Are aged less than 70 years old;
(d). Are enquiring in relation to a Metlifecare care home, including a Care Suite; and/or
(e). Are employees of Metlifecare or of a Metlifecare Village.
Prizes
4. One (1) scratch card will be presented at the end of a First Appointment. The Eligible Entrant can then scratch the card to reveal:
(a). their instant prize (see further details below) (an Instant Prize); and
(b). their discount (a Discount).
5. The Instant Prize and the Discount will be displayed on the scratch card. Each scratch card contains an Instant Prize and a Discount.
6. There is a limit of one (1) scratch card per First Appointment during the Promotional Period.
Instant Prizes
7. There are four (4) types of Instant Prize:

(c).$100 Z Energy gift card (Standard Z Energy Limited gift card terms and conditions apply – see https://www.z.co.nz/products-and-services/at-the-station/gift-cards/ (https://www.z.co.nz/products-and-services/at-the-station/gift-cards/)).
(d). $60 Event Cinemas gift card (Standard Event Cinemas gift card terms and conditions apply – see https://www.eventcinemas.co.nz/giftcards (https://www.eventcinemas.co.nz/giftcards)).
8. The Instant Prize will be presented to the Eligible Entrant at the end of the First Appointment.
9. Each Instant Prize is subject to availability at the relevant Village, and Metlifecare reserves the right to substitute for one of the other Instant Prizes
10. Each Metlifecare Village reserves the right to substitute any Instant Prize as a result of availability at the relevant location, supplier or other variability outside the reasonable control of the Promoter.No requests by an Eligible Entrant to substitute or vary an Instant Win Prize will be accepted.
11. Metlifecare accepts no responsibility for an Instant Prize being unavailable at a Metlifecare Village. In the event an Instant Prize is unavailable at a Metlifecare Village, Metlifecare will courier the Instant Prize to the Eligible Entrant during the Promotional Period.
Discount
12. There are five (5) categories of discount amounts to be revealed, as follows:
(a). 1,000x $5,000;
(b). 50x $10,000;
(c). 30x $20,000;
(d). 5x $25,000; and
(e). 3x $50,000,
(each, a Discount).
13. The available Discounts vary between Metlifecare Villages.
14. The Discount is only redeemable by the Eligible Entrant at the Metlifecare Village where the Discount was presented to the Eligible Entrant.
15. The Discount requires entry into and settlement of an Occupation Right Agreement (ORA) in respect of a Participating Unit, and our usual resident criteria applies (including satisfaction of any medical conditions).
16. To qualify for the Discount, an Eligible Entrant must:
(a). Provide the Sales Executive with their name, phone number, email address and the Metlifecare Village where the First Appointment was held for the Sales Executive to complete on the back of the scratch card;
(b). apply for an ORA for a Participating Unit at the Metlifecare Village where the Discount was presented by 12 December 2024 and settle the ORA in full by 30 June 2025.
(c). The Discount will be applied as a discount to Metlifecare’s recommended selling price for the selected unit, and will be shown as a discount to the capital sum payable by the Eligible Entrant on the settlement statement and applied only on settlement of the ORA in respect of the selected unit.
Discount
17. Neither the Instant Prize nor the Discount are redeemable, refundable or transferable for cash or other services.
18. All dollar amounts referred to are New Zealand dollars.
19. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time, including by extending, suspending or terminating the Promotion at any time.
20. The Promotion can be used in conjunction with the Resident Referral $2k Promotion. Unless otherwise stated or agreed by us, the Promotion cannot be used in connection with any other discount, offer or promotion.
21. We reserve the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or is otherwise involved in any conduct that involves manipulating, interfering or tampering with this Promotion or otherwise preventing the conduct of the Promotion as intended by the Metlifecare.
22. To the full extent permitted by law, each Eligible Entrant agrees that Metlifecare, each Metlifecare Village and their employees, agents and other representatives of any kind shall not be responsible or liable for damages or losses of any kind arising out of or resulting from the Entrant’s participation in the Promotion, acceptance or use of a prize, or any other matter related to this Promotion.
23. Each winner is responsible for keeping their scratch card secure until exchanged for the Discount. Metlifecare is not responsible for any scratch cards provided to an Eligible Entrant that are late, lost, or stolen, due to any reason whatsoever.
24. All decisions related to, as well as all interpretation of, these Terms by Metlifecare will be final.
25. Our Privacy Policy (https://www.metlifecare.co.nz/privacy-policy) shall apply to any personal information you submit to us in connection with the Promotion.
26. References to “we”, “us”, “our” or “Metlifecare” means Metlifecare Limited of Level 4, 110 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket, Auckland.
