$100k Welcome Package – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. These terms apply to the $100,000 Welcome Package promotion (the Promotion).
  2. The Promotion is being run across all independent living units at The Tides and Wanaka Peaks Metlifecare retirement villages (Participating Units).
  3. Each prize package includes a selection of move-in related products & services in connection with the qualifying resident’s move into a Participating Unit, up to a value of $100,000 (inclusive of GST) (each, a Welcome Package). A Welcome Package may include, but is not limited to, a combination of practical support, home enhancements and lifestyle-focused additions such as:
    • Professional moving and relocation services
    • Furniture and homewares vouchers
    • Additional landscaping, planting or outdoor living enhancements
    • Mobility support, such as a golf buggy or vehicle contribution
    • Appliance, entertainment or technology upgrades
    • Interior styling or fit-out enhancements
    • Hosted dining, entertaining or social experiences
    • Lifestyle, wellness or recreation-focused inclusions
    • Free village fees for an agreed period (for example up to three years)
  4. The services included in each Welcome Package will vary depending on the location of the Participating Unit and the availability of local service providers. All services will be provided by service providers approved and selected by Metlifecare.
  5. Each resident who wins a Welcome Package will be asked for input on the make-up of their Welcome Package. The final decision on the make-up of each $100,000 Welcome Package rests with Metlifecare. Metlifecare will provide the residents a breakdown of their $100,000 Welcome Package. Each Welcome Packages prize value will be based on recommended retail pricing that may vary depending on the final selection of services and the residents locations.
  6. To win a Welcome Package:
    • you must submit an application for an Occupation Right Agreement (ORA) in respect of a Participating Unit from 1 June 2026 (Promotional Period); and
    • the commencement date of the ORA in respect of the Participating Unit must occur on or before 18 December 2026.
  7. By submitting an application for an ORA in respect of a Participating Unit during the Promotional Period, you are deemed to have accepted the terms for this Promotion.
  8. As this Promotion requires entry into an ORA, the usual resident criteria applies (including satisfaction of any medical conditions).
  9. A maximum of 10 Welcome Packages are available at the Tides and a maximum of 10 Welcome Packages are available at Wanaka Peaks during the Promotional Period. Welcome Packages are subject to the availalbility as set out in this clause, and will be allocated on a first-in, first served basis. For the avoidance of doubt, Metlifecare may, in its sole discretion, decide to make less than 10 Welcome Packages available at either The Tides or Wanaka Peaks.
  10. Residents who win one of the Welcome Packages will be notified via email or phone three working days following settlement of their ORA, using the contact information provided in their ORA application.
  11. If the moving costs incurred are less than the value of the Welcome Package, you shall not be entitled to any payment from Metlifecare for the shortfall.You will be responsible for any costs exceeding the value of the Welcome Package.
  12. Only one Welcome Package is available per qualifying ORA. If two residents settle an ORA together as joint residents or tenants in common, then the Welcome Package will be provided to them jointly.
  13. You must repay the amount of the Welcome Package back to Metlifecare if you cancel your ORA:
    • during the cooling off period; or
    • in accordance with the 90 Day Guarantee.
  14. Metlifecare will be entitled to deduct the value of the Welcome Package from any payment due as a result of such cancellation or termination if it has not been repaid on or before the date Metlifecare is required to make payment to you in accordance with the ORA.
  15. The Welcome Package is not redeemable, refundable or transferable for cash or other services.
  16. Metlifecare is not liable for any damages or claims whatsoever arising from your participation in the Promotion.
  17. This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other Metlifecare promotion, discount, rebate or incentive unless otherwise agreed by Metlifecare in writing.
  18. Our Privacy Policy available at (https://www.metlifecare.co.nz/privacy-policy/) shall apply to any personal information you submit to us in connection with the Promotion and is incorporated into these terms and conditions.
  19. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or extend, suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time and without giving reasons.
