Home from the moment I arrived - Orion Point
01 June 2025

Sheila Fisher left the solitude of her former home behind for the vibrant community at Orion Point—a choice she cherishes. More than just a change of address, it marked the start of a new chapter filled with security, connection, and opportunity.
Maintaining a large property became a challenge, and a security scare reinforced the need for a safer environment. Wanting to stay close to family, she explored retirement villages before discovering Orion Point. Its modern design, spacious layout, and welcoming community made an
immediate impression.
“The moment I saw this apartment, I knew it was the one,” Sheila recalls. With two bedrooms and a well-planned living space, it was the perfect fit. The open, contemporary setting made her feel at home, and she loved the idea of growing with a newly established community.
Sheila, a lifelong fitness enthusiast, has always maintained an active lifestyle, carrying her passion for movement into her new life at Orion Point. She’s played tennis, badminton, squash, and even practiced karate. At 56, she entered competitive bodybuilding, winning multiple regional and national medals. Staying fit remains a priority—she regularly visits the gym, enjoys scenic coastal walks, and has even taken up line dancing.
Orion Point has also reignited her creative passions, offering workshops, clubs, and shared spaces where she can connect with others who share her interests. She’s rediscovered photography, drawing, and enjoys knitting for local markets. But what surprised her most was the strong sense of community.
“I always saw myself as shy, but Orion Point brought me out of my shell,” she shares. “The staff and residents are incredibly welcoming—it truly feels like home.”
With fitness, creativity, and new friendships, Sheila’s life at Orion Point is more fulfilling than she ever imagined. “It’s the best move I’ve ever made.”
“I feel safe, connected, and happier than ever. Moving to Orion Point wasn’t just a good decision - it was life-changing.”
