Terms & Conditions - Move-in Prize Package

  1. The Promotion is being run across all independent living units at all Metlifecare retirement villages (Participating Units).
  2. The prize package includes a selection of move-in related services in connection with the winner’s move into a Participating Unit, up to a value of $10,000 (plus GST) (the Move-In Package). The services included in the Move-In Package will vary depending on the location of the Participating Unit and the availability of local service providers. These Move-In Package services may include, but are not limited to, moving services, decluttering, cleaning, and/or a housewarming event. All services will be provided by service providers approved and selected by Metlifecare. The Move-In Package prize value will be based on recommended retail pricing that may vary depending on the final selection of services and the winner’s locations.
  3. To be in to win the Move-In Package:
    1. apply by completing the online form at https://forms.office.com/r/HYLEn6pHdw
    2. submit an application for an Occupation Right Agreement (ORA) in respect of a Participating Unit between 2 May and 31 May (Promotional Period); and
    3. the commencement date of the ORA in respect of the Participating Unit must occur on or before 30 June 2026. 
  4. As this Promotion requires entry into an ORA, the usual resident criteria applies (including satisfaction of any medical conditions).
  5. One Move-In Package will be awarded in the Promotional Period.
  6. The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period.
  7. The prize draw will take place on Monday 6th July at Metlifecare, Level 4, 110 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand.
  8. Winners will be notified on or after Friday 10th July by email or phone, using the contact information provided at the time of entry.
  9. If the moving costs incurred are less than the value of the Move-In Package, you shall not be entitled to any payment from Metlifecare for the shortfall. You will be responsible for any costs exceeding the value of the Move-In Package.
  10. Only one Move-In Package is available for the winning resident / residents. If two residents settle an ORA together as joint residents or tenants in common, then the Move-In Package will be provided to them jointly.
  11. You must repay the amount of the Move-In Package back to Metlifecare if you cancel your ORA:
    1. during the cooling off period; or
    2. in accordance with the 90 Day Guarantee.
  12. Metlifecare will be entitled to deduct the value of the Move-In Package from any payment due as a result of such cancellation or termination if it has not been repaid on or before the date Metlifecare is required to make payment to you in accordance with the ORA.
  13. The Move-In Package is not redeemable, refundable or transferable for cash or other services.
  14. Metlifecare is not liable for any damages or claims whatsoever arising from your participation in the Promotion.
  15. Our Privacy Policy (available at https://www.metlifecare.co.nz/privacy-policy/) shall apply to any personal information you submit to us in connection with the Promotion and is incorporated into these terms and conditions.
  16. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or extend, suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time and without giving reasons.
