Metlifecare's participating villages offer distinctly different ways to enjoy the region. Compare a small social community near central Tauranga, a spacious country-club setting, established resort-style living and modern coastal retirement villages. With one village open each day, you can take your time and experience what makes every community different.

What happens on Open Days?

Open Days are an opportunity to experience the village for yourself and get a genuine feel for what day-to-day retirement living could look like.

A warm welcome

Village staff will be ready to greet you, learn what has brought you in and point you towards the things you most want to see.

Tour the village

Take a guided look around the village, including its shared spaces and amenities, and see how residents use them from day to day.

View available homes

Step inside a selection of homes currently available and get a clearer sense of the space, style and living option that could suit you.

Talk with residents and staff

Chat with people who live at the village and the team who support it. Ask about the community, activities, amenities and what an ordinary day is really like.

Stay for a coffee

The village cafés will be open, so you are welcome to enjoy a coffee, take in the atmosphere and continue the conversation at your own pace.

One participating village opens each day from 12th–16th October, 10am–2pm. Come to the location that interests you most or plan several visits across the week.
