If you have an accident and need immediate attention, all our retirement villages (except at Kapiti Village) have strategically placed emergency call buttons in your home which you simply press and your call will be responded to. Where an illness is of a temporary nature, if you're not already receiving additional services, meals and other helpful services may be arranged to assist – depending on the help you need. We aim to help you recover quickly and comfortably which can be reassuring to you and your family. This service is provided on a “user pays” basis.

When you live at an established Metlifecare village you pay a village fee to cover costs, such as council rates, water rates, building insurance, maintenance, the upkeep of the community facilities, gardening, salaries of the staff and village operations. This simplifies your expenses into one easy to manage village fee, leaving you free to select your own phone, personal contents insurance and electricity providers according to your preference.

Lock up and leave with peace of mind and the freedom to come and go as you please. We will maintain the grounds, clear your letterbox and manage security while you're away.

The Clubhouse is the social and recreational heart of the village. It includes an indoor heated swimming pool, spa pool, cafe, bar, hair and beauty salon, wellness centre, library, billiards lounge, media room and creative hub. Outdoor areas include a lounge, dining spaces, and an outdoor fireplace, all set alongside the golf course surroundings.

For residents who play golf, Pakuranga Golf Club is directly next door and the course is woven into daily village life. Beyond golf, the village runs a programme of exercise activities and organised excursions — residents have taken trips to musicals in the city, local open days, and destinations further afield. The Clubhouse and its outdoor areas overlooking the course provide a natural setting for the community to gather throughout the year.

For those who play, Pakuranga Golf Club is directly next door at 199 Botany Road, one of Auckland's long-established courses. For residents who don't play, the course provides sweeping views of open fairways, mature trees, and natural landscape from homes and shared areas throughout the village. The result is a resort-like quality of space and outlook that defines the character of Fairway Gardens.
